Oral Surgeon - Auburn, ME
Meet Dr. Donald Gass
Dr. Gass is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with more than 30 years of experience, and he enables our practice to offer a wide array of advanced services so we’re able to keep more patients in-house (rather than having to refer them out). He can perform treatments like dental implant placement, corrective jaw surgery, and cosmetic facial bone surgery just to name a few. He considers it an honor and a privilege to work with the fantastic team here at Willow Run Dental Association, and he looks forward to providing you and your loved ones with premier surgical care should you ever need it.
Dr. Gass began his dental career by graduating from the Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1981. In order to become a certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, a dentist must undergo 4-6 years of advanced training beyond dental school, so after graduation, he immediately started a surgical residency at the University of Connecticut. He completed the program in 1984, and afterward, he did a one-year externship at the Queen Mary Hospital in London before finally returning to the US.
Dr. Gass maintains active memberships in a variety of professional organizations to keep his skills sharp and give him the opportunity to help even more people. He is currently a part of:
- Omicron Kappa Upsilon – the National Dental School Honor Society
- American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (Diplomate since 1987)
- Anesthesia Review Committee Member
